PRESCOTT (June 19, 2013) The American Red Cross Grand Canyon Chapter will serve lunch at noon Wednesday at its shelter at Yavapai College in Prescott for people displaced by the Doce Fire. Lunch is being provided by Yavapai College. On Tuesday, Papa Johns in Prescott delivered pizza for dinner, and JBs Family Restaurants in Prescott provided coffee. The Costco Wholesale in Prescott brought fruit and pastries for Wednesdays breakfast. Red Cross volunteers have set up cots and blankets inside the gymnasium, and evacuated residents also can come for snacks and bottled water. Evacuated residents wanting to reconnect with loved ones are urged to register through the Red Cross Safe and Well website at www.safeandwell.org.
